Message: Annette and Mitzi.. Dorothy was a true, close friend of mine for decades and seeing her at our 55th Class Reunion and having her at our dining table two nights was an honor. Her Pam Pam employment has a lot of secrets associated with so many situations that she 'handled' over the years. LOL. Many of my visits to the Pam Pam in the 60s and 70s were to see Dorothy and the owners, knowing many patrons would be there til the late hours!

Message: Time is a precious thing....Ecclesiastes teaches us there is a time for everything.... and as we say Goodbye to our sister/friend/mother I share how my life was touched by an incredible lady who in no uncertain terms was a WONDER WOMAN......at the time I didn't understand exactly because I was fairly young ....but the profound effect of what she meant to our family ....well was ....heart felt , soooo I'm sharing what I remember in hopes of bringing comfort ......Dorothy was a TRUE friend to my mom the two of them would visit on a regular basis. Their time was to have morning coffee. It was a chance to share the happy and sad times, and to just be there as a friend. Little did I realize how important those moments were.....she always shared her quick wit and funny stories that left joy wherever she went . My mom didn't have many friends and looking back I see where Dorothy was there no matter what and was always willing to help no matter what.... in closing her strength, commitment and fearlessness is a legacy we could all use , Dorothy Jean Powell was totally committed to all those she loved.
