Maxine Janet Hopson, 90, of Stuttgart passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, at her home.
Mrs. Hopson was born Dec. 25, 1928, in Coy, Ark., to Tommy and Dulcie Tidmore Curton. She was a hairdresser all her life and member of First Christian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Clay Muse; husband, Jack Hopson; husband, Ray Schonhoff; son, Wayne Hopson; son-in-law, Herman Ryan; grandson, Chris Ryan; and brothers, Clarence Curton, Harold Curton, Raymond Curton and Floyd Curton and his wife Pauline Curton Myrick.
Survivors are two daughters, Ann Muse Sanders of Stuttgart and Jackie Hopson Ryan of Humphrey; sisters, Bettye Isbell of Alexander, Virginia Moll of Stuttgart and Catherine Loftis of Benton; four grandchildren, Clay (Teri) Selig of Stuttgart, Scarlett (Tom) Moore of Little Rock, Natalie Carr of North Carolina and Grant Ryan of Stuttgart; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Don Warren, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at First Christian Church with visitation one hour before the service.
