Dana Leigh Barnett, 49, of Casscoe passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Baptist Health-Springhill.
Dana was born Oct. 23, 1971, in Paragould, Ark. She was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended SEARK in Pine Bluff. Dana was a paraprofessional for Clarendon Public Schools and had previously worked as a substitute teacher in the Stuttgart and Brinkley School Systems. Dana had a love for music and concerts, photography and scrapbooking. She was known to devote her heart, time and money to the students she cared for daily. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She loved and was loved by many, regardless of the history, but her world was Jason, their girls and her mom. Her mother was her best friend; Jason, her husband, was her greatest love and her foundation; her girls, Jayna and Lauren were her motivation for living and the light in her world.
She was preceded in death by her biological father, Gary Osborn; her mother-in-law, Glenda Stokes; and sister-in-law, Renee Ross.
Survivors are her husband of 29 years, Jason Barnett; their daughters, Jayna Barnett of Stuttgart and Lauren Barnett of Cave Springs; her mother, Polly Phillips of Casscoe; two sisters, Melinda Black (Jamey) of Sheridan and Laurie Galloway (Ray) of Texarkana; father-in-law, Terry Stokes (Kay) of Heber Springs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Preston Barnett (Hope) of Stuttgart, Deanne Herring of Heber Springs, Greg Stokes (Shannon) of Stuttgart, Terri Jo Hobbs (Tripp) of Cleveland, MS, Marty Douglas of Biscoe and Glenn Barnett (Theresa) Biscoe; her lifelong friend, Tonya Barnes; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, specifically Barbara “Lele”, Christina and Sabrina who were also her best friends.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
