Wilma R. McClain, 83, widow of Fred McClain, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Maple Healthcare in Hazen.
Mrs. McClain was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Stuttgart to Clifton and Marie McCollum. She was a Stuttgart High School graduate and was employed by what is now BancorpSouth. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles and was a collector of Precious Moments figurines. She loved to watch and attend Arkansas Razorbacks sports, especially football. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe McClain; a granddaughter, Heather Hughes; brothers, James McCollum, Howard McCollum and Tom McCollum; and a sister, Martha Krisell.
Survivors are her daughter, Karen Hughes and husband John Kale of Huntsville, Ala.; one granddaughter, Summer McClain of Conway; daughter-in-law, Johnna McClain of Hazen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Mark Nabors, are 2 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church with visitation one hour before from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home.
Her family requests memorials be made to the Children’s Wing at Stuttgart Public Library.
