Janet Charlene Knox, 83, of Jacksonville, Ark., passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at her daughter’s home.
Ms. Knox was born Feb. 20, 1938, in Pine Bluff. She attended grade school at Holy Rosary Catholic School and later attended St. Scholastica Academy in Fort Smith and Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Little Rock. She was a homemaker and retired from GTE as a telephone operator. She attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and tending to her yard when her health allowed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Jones; her mother and stepfather, Olive and Raymond Teske; son, Nicky Garrich; and daughter, Traci Harris.
Survivors are two daughters, Kerry Longnecker (Mike) of Stuttgart and Brenda Garrich (Rick) of Ada, Okla.; a sister, Ramona Whitthoff of Douglas, Ga.; and a very special cousin who was more like a sister, Peggy Robnett of Stuttgart.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial following at Holy Rosary Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
