Ella Mae Meins


 Ella Mae Meins departed from this life Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro surrounded by family.

Mae was born May 28, 1949, in Humnoke. She was a Baptist and homemaker who dedicated her life to taking care of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Claudene Garrison; brothers, Allen and Woody Garrison; and her first husband and father of her children, Jimmy Lacefield.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, David Meins of Stuttgart; son, Jimmy Lacefield Jr. of Stuttgart; daughter, Sherry Lacefield Dobson (Billy) of Stuttgart; son, Josh Meins (Brynn) of Virginia; daughter, Lindsey Meins Young (David) of Alabama; grandchildren, Sgt. Cody Dobson (Lauren) of Georgia, Blake Dobson of Stuttgart, Tyler Meins of Stuttgart and Jenny Lacefield of Stuttgart, Eli Meins of Virginia, Ethan Meins of Virginia, and Hannah Brown (Bill), Ashley Presley (Jason) and Alexis Peter, all of Alabama; great-grandchildren, Lane Dobson, Cayce Dobson, Brentley Dobson and Brooklyn Meins; sisters, Carol Collins of England, Bonnie Tumbleson of Humnoke, Janet Garrison of England, Gale Ideker of Slovak, Ann Zornes of England; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be Thursday, Sept. 2, at 3 p.m. at Flynn Cemetery.
