Phillip Ray Watkins

Phillip Ray Watkins, 48, of Humphrey passed away Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at Baptist Health-Little Rock.

Phillip was born April 13, 1973, in Stuttgart. He was a 1992 graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended Phillips Community College. He was a tool and die machinist at Lennox Industries where he was worked for 26 years. He was a member of Stuttgart Holiness Church where he was a deacon and served as secretary/treasurer for many years.

Phillip was a master craftsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and attending car shows. He was always helping people and loved doing so.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Gayle Watkins Smith; his grandparents, Will and Ruby Watkins and L.B. and Juanita Smith; and a nephew, Timothy Cain.

Survivors are his wife of 27 years and high school sweetheart, Marsha Geater Watkins; two sons, Josh Watkins (fiancée Mackenzie Bock) of Humphrey and Stephen Watkins (fiancé Will Ray) of Stuttgart; daughter, Stephanie Watkins of Humphrey; father, Leo Smith of Humphrey; brother, David Smith of Humphrey; sister, Dora Cain of Batesville; and his grandson and light of his life, Luke Watkins.

Funeral services, officiated by Randal Wilson, James Cain and Lloyd Duvall, are 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Missionary Baptist Church (formerly Stuttgart Holiness Church), 1002 S. Prairie, Stuttgart. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
