David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Hodge Rowland of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his wife of 55 years, Martha Jean Snow Rowland, who was the love of his life. He is survived by one sister, Amelia Kate Lais of Albany, Oregon; his children, Pamela Kate (Mancilla) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Tracy Wayne Rowland and his wife Penni of Weatherford, Texas; his grandchildren, Chad Wayne (Melissa), Leslie Jean (Sebastian) and Kyle Wayne (Amanda); and his great-grandchildren, Jaycie Leeann and Carter Anne. He is a Mason, was Past-President of the Stuttgart Lion and Ruritan Clubs, and supported the Pine Bluff Chapter of the Shriner’s.
David was an avid hunter and fisherman in his younger years; if it was in season, he was typically hunting it or fishing for it! He instilled in his family a love of the outdoors, spending most family vacations on the beautiful Arkansas lakes with friends and family when his children were young.
Dave loved the Arkansas Razorbacks! If there was a game on, the television was tuned in or the radio was at his side! A touch-and-go win could sometimes find him calling the Hogs from his front porch with glee!
