Laura Moll Goding, born Dec. 1, 1921, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at the age of 97. A kind, bright and outgoing graduate of the University of Arkansas she had worked as a secretary for Sen. J.W. Fulbright, then in the civilian personnel offices of the U.S. Army and Navy and Federal Aviation Administration before retiring to her hometown of Stuttgart, Ark.
Until her final few years of illness, Laura loved conversation, correspondence, travel and baking banana-oat-date bars for friends and relatives.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Wil Goding; and her brothers, Bill and Pete Moll. She is survived by son, Paul Butler of Stuttgart ([email protected]); stepson, Charles Goding; and will be fondly remembered by many, including her devoted caregivers and First Presbyterian Church family.
Graveside services, officiated by the Rev. Tim Reeves, are 11 a.m. Saturday at Lone Tree Cemetery chapel by Turpin Funeral Home.
