Scarler Ray Lyons, 84, of Stuttgart passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart.
Mr. Lyons was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Humphrey to Mack and Walsie Ramsey Lyons. The Humphrey High School graduate was retired as foreman with the Arkansas Highway Department. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Shirley Jackson Lyons; six sisters and six brothers.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Hayes Persons; two daughters, Glenda (Marty) Sipes of White Hall and Scottie Persons of Stuttgart; brother, Bobby Lyons of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren, Matthew Lyons Lovelace, Mallory Ragan Persons and Morgan Renea Persons; one great-grandson, Noah Ayden Lovelace; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Mary Avery for her dedicated service to their loved one.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Jason McKelvey, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
