Clyde Hancock Jr., 90, of Jacksonville, formerly of Stuttgart,
passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Hospice Home Care in
Mr. Hancock was born November 11, 1926, in Stuttgart to Clyde
Hancock Sr. and Melba Rhodes Hancock. He was a World War II Navy
veteran, a repairman with Southwestern Bell Telephone and a
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64
years, Mary Edna Lyons Hancock; brother, Jerry Hancock; sister,
June Rochelle; and son-in-law, William Edward Powell.
Survivors are one son, Earl Asher (Rosalie) of North Little
Rock; four daughters, Sherry Fleming (Sid) of Jacksonville,
Debra Davis (Scott) of Hot Springs, Claudette May (John) of
Cabot and Phyllis Powell of Hot Springs; one sister, Billie Lee
Simpson (Harold) of Lodges Corner; six grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation one hour
before, both at Lone Tree Cemetery chapel.
