 Dale Thane VanCamp 


Dale Thane VanCamp, 74, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Stuttgart, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016, at Baylor Scott and White Health.

          Mr. VanCamp was born October 12, 1942, in Alliance, Ohio, to Bruce and Doris Staubaugh VanCamp. He graduated high school and attended college in Ohio before enlisting in the Air Force retiring after 21 years and relocating to Stuttgart. At that time, he was a member of the Stuttgart Bowling League and the Adult Competition Bowling Club. He was a lifelong member of Masonic Lodge, an avid sports fan, especially the Cleveland Indians, and a political advocate. He was a Lutheran.

          Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie Van Camp and Jerry VanCamp; and sister, Madeline Sam’Blenet.

          Survivors are his wife, Eloise Keaton VanCamp; two sons, Robert Dale VanCamp of McKinney and Randy (Christi) Joe VanCamp of DeWitt; and six grandchildren, Jared Dale VanCamp, Taylor James VanCamp, Marissa Nicole VanCamp, Robert Blaise VanCamp, Dayne Estes VanCamp and Darby Elise VanCamp.

          A memorial service, officiated by Joe Keaton Jr., with full military honors will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home chapel.
