Lois Jenkins McWilliams, 92, passed away Friday, January 20,
Alma was born April 5, 1924, to Charles (Carl) Franklin and
Bertha Mae Pickard Jenkins. She was raised in North Little Rock,
Ark., and attended North Little Rock High School. Following
school, Alma was employed as a dental assistant for over 38
years then worked as an EKG technician for the VA Hospital.
Alma was fiercely independent and a social person and for many
years she was an active member of various social clubs and
organizations, as well as, in her class reunions. She also
enjoyed going to the Stuttgart Senior Center and visiting with
her many friends she had there.
Alma touched the lives of many people with her strong-willed and
precocious personality and her boundless generosity.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Bernerd Franklin McWilliams; son, Robert Wayne McWilliams; and
sisters, Evelyn Hamlett and Geraldine Powell.
Alma will forever be remembered by her daughter-in-law, Donna
Estep McWilliams of Stuttgart; and her granddaughter, Jessica
McWilliams Spickes and husband, Cory Spickes of Springdale.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation with her
family from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel
Cemetery in Cabot by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
