Herman Henry Doepel, 93, of Stuttgart passed away Sunday,
February 5, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Doepel was born April 11, 1923, in Lutherville, Ark., to
Henry and Anna Fricke Doepel. He was a Navy veteran of World War
II. After retiring from years of farming, Mr. Doepel was
employed in maintenance at the Experiment Station. He was a
member of St. Lukeís Lutheran Church in DeWitt.
Besides his parents, Mr. Doepel was preceded in death by his
wife, Carolyn Poll Doepel; their two daughters, Deborah Doepel
and Cynthia Doepel; and three brothers, Emil, Walter and William
Survivors are four grandchildren, Heath Robertson (Alecia) of
Bono, Chris Robertson of Vilonia, Nick Robertson (Lacy) of
Stuttgart and Kristie Eisenbrei (Derek) of Easley, S.C.; five
sisters, Freda Scheer of Porterville, Calif., Lorene Kline of
Barry, Ill., Irene Tritch (Ralph) of Terra Bella, Calif.,
Frances Grice (Don) of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Wanda Perry of
Stuttgart; two brothers, Edwin Doepel Sr. (Brenda) of Stuttgart
and Martin Doepel (Martha) of Yukon, Okla.; and five
great-grandchildren, Alex, Katie and Cameron Eisenbrei and
Carter and Daniel Robertson.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Chad Philipp, are 10:30
a.m. Thursday at St. Johnís Lutheran Church with burial
following in Ulm Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home.
