Charles Richard Wages Sr., 65, of Ulm passed away Sunday, March
5, 2017, at his home.
Ricky was born July 11, 1951, in Little Rock to Bennie
“Jack” and Tennie Butterworth Wages. He was a sheet metal
worker, welder, worked at nuclear power plants and was an
all-around hustler. He enjoyed making Eddins-style toolboxes for
trucks, yard sales and auctions. He also loved to cook.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two
sisters, Bertha Curtis and Frances Adkins; and two nephews,
Richard Stephens and Danny Norris.
Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Martha Scroggins
Wages; two sons, Charles R. “Boo” Wages and Jacob Wade Wages,
both of Conway; step-daughter, DeAnna Ray of Stuttgart; sister,
Patricia Wages from Beaufort, S.C.; two nephews, Bud Norris
(Debbie) of Ulm and Kevin Ross of St. Louis; and two
granddaughters, Kyrstin and Marysa Wages.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Glenn Larson, is
2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Ulm Community Center. Visitation will
be one hour before.
Honorary pallbearers are Ben Taylor, Brad West, Christina
West, Johnny Ray Houghton, Bryon Cook and Perry Seago.
Memorials may be
made to the donor’s choice.
