  Calvin Leo Warden

 

Calvin Leo WardenCalvin Leo Warden, 92, of Humphrey passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at his home.

          Mr. Warden was born April 18, 1924, to Lonnie Leo Warden and Effie Croft Warden. He was an Army/Air Corp World War II veteran assigned to the 388th Bombardment Group, Knettishall, England. He was also a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church and the VFW.

          Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maud Ellen Warden; seven brothers, Lynn Warden, Fred Croft, Leo Croft, Ralph Croft, Wallace Croft, Lewis Warden and DeWayne Warden; and eight sisters, Jenna Lee Owens, and Patsy, Naomi, Sue, JoAnn, Thelma Jean, Ida Marie and Addie Sue.

          Survivors are his children, Calvin Brent Warden (Barbara) of Pine Bluff and Shelia Bednar (Larry) of Slovak; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kesterson (Scott) of Centerton, Ark., Bart Bednar of Carlisle and Angie Yarbrough (Jeff) of Rogers; seven great-grandchildren, Kiley, Emma, Ashlyn, Nathan, Jack, Sophie and Jacob; one brother, Richard Warden (Susan) of Mississippi one sister-in-law, Josie Croft of White Hall; and three brothers-in-law, J.C. Wood (June) and Jo Wood (Louise) of Pine Bluff and Tommy Wood of Stuttgart.

          Visitation is 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home with funeral services, officiated by Bro. John Young, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Flynn Cemetery.

          His family would like to thank Hospice Home Care for the special care and compassion given to our dad during this time.
