Edith Yvonne Mensch, 57, of Stuttgart passed away Sunday, July
30, 2017, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veteranís Hospital.
Yvonne was born May 18, 1961, in DeWitt to Cecil Edwin and Velna
Loucille Martin Mensch. She was a graduate of DeWitt High School
and received her Associateís degree in 1997 and was employed in
the Instrument and Electric Department at Riceland. She was a
veteran of the Army.
Yvonneís hobbies included fishing, flea markets and yard sales
and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was a very proud member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist
Church and was always inviting people to attend because she
loved her church and church family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother.
Survivors are her three children, Jason (Amelia) Johnson of
Hickory, Miss., Joshua Johnson of Stuttgart and April (Elliott)
Evans of Little Rock; her father, Cecil Edwin Mensch of
Aberdeen; three brothers, Artie (Carol) Mensch of Teague, Texas,
Wayne (Geni) Mensch of Birmingham, Ala., and Cecil (Staci)
Mensch of Little Rock; two sisters, Vicky (Chris) Maxwell of
Bayou Meto and Cecilia Aaron of Aberdeen; and several other
relatives. She was Mammoo to eight grandchildren, Payton
Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Jayden Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Isiah
Johnson, Dallas Baker, Bailey Johnson and Mason Evans.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Heath Loftis, are 11:00
a.m. Friday at Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church with burial
following in Bayou Meto Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
