  William Monroe (Bill) Baskins

 

William Monroe (Bill) Baskins, 72, of Humnoke passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his home.

Bill was born September 28, 1945, in Adona, Ark., to James C. and Lois B. Young Baskins. He was a 1963 graduate of White Hall High School and received a radiology degree from Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Bill began employment as an x-ray technician at Stuttgart Memorial Hospital where he retired after 45 years as director of radiology. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Fredrick Anthony “Tony” Croft.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Pamela Jeanette Johnson Baskins; two sons, William Scott Baskins of Stuttgart and Christopher Jordan Baskins of Humnoke; daughter, Sandra Jean Dolphin of Humnoke; sister, Sandra Kay Crow of Pine Bluff; and nephew, Brian Croft of White Hall.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. David Inzer, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at Harmony Baptist Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
