Carl Robert Renken, 89, of Ulm, Ark., passed away Wednesday,
November 15, 2017, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart. He was born
August 13, 1928, near Ulm in Prairie County to John and Fannie
Mr. Renken was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ulm. He was
mayor of Ulm for 40 years, retiring at the end of 2014. He also
farmed for many years, worked part time for B.C. Williams
Transportation as a truck driver and worked several years at
Prairie Implement Co. in Stuttgart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister
and brother-in-law, Celeste and Raymond Rudowske; several aunts
and uncles; and other relatives.
Survivors are two daughters, Donna Lynn Renken and Dana Lee
Curtis, both of Stuttgart; two grandsons, Chase Curtis of
Atlanta and Cameron Curtis of Fayetteville; and granddaughter,
Callie Curtis of Stuttgart.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Johnny Graham, are 2:00
p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church with burial following in
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the church.
