Alan Dale Pelton, age 76, of Stuttgart, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, in his home. He was born in Michigan on February 26, 1948, to John and Nelma Pelton and was the second of two children.
After moving to Arkansas with his family, he discovered a knack for machines and electrical equipment at an early age and later developed an ongoing interest in computers and tech devices.
Throughout his adult life, Alan enjoyed hunting and fishing, including pitching in as cook at deer camp. A fan of nature, he cultivated plants and vegetables in his garden. Friends were a large part of his life. All who knew him knew that he loved to laugh and make others laugh. He had a quick wit and a sharp mind, especially when it came to research, history, or technology.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Remaining family members include his sister, Kay Crawford of North Little Rock; her daughters, Mona Housman (Brian) of Chattanooga, TN and Deborah Beany (Tim) of Waynesville, NC; and nephews and nieces Oliver Ayers, Bailey Housman and Ashlan Housman.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home immediately followed by graveside services at Lone Tree Cemetery chapel.
