Benjamin Lafayette Taylor Jr.

Benjamin Lafayette Taylor Jr., 72, of Casscoe passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his home.

Ben was born Oct. 11, 1951, in Stuttgart to Benjamin Lafeyette Taylor Sr. and Ellen Grant Taylor. He was a Maintenance of Way Foreman with Union Pacific Railroad and member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart and Road Barrons Motorcycle Club.

Besides his parents, Ben was preceded in death by son, Benjamin Lafayette Taylor III; and sister Pamela Rawls.

Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Mary Franklin Taylor; son, Timothy Layne Taylor of Marion, Ark., and Len Ideker of Casscoe, who he thought of as a son; sisters, Patricia Kizzire of Stuttgart, Victoria Houghton (Walter) of Humphrey, Sherrie Rodda of McKinney, Texas, Robin Yarbrough (Larry) of Stuttgart, Cynthia Shelton of Casscoe, Kris Lindsey (Kelly) of Casscoe and Lori Musser (Patrick) of Magnet Cove.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Hunter’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home.
