Bertha Louise Flahrity

Bertha Louise Flahrity, 78, of Casscoe passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at her home.

Bertha was born October 1, 1945, in Lee County to Floyd Hamp and Emma Leona Hicks Fisher. Bertha was full of life and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. She was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Bryan Flahrity; two brothers, Gayland Fisher and Benny Fisher; one sister, Emma Jean Barnes; and two half-sisters, Juanita Martin and Agnes McNair.

Survivors are her husband, Charles Wayne Flahrity Sr.; three sons, Charles Wayne Flahrity Jr. (Carol), Melvin Eugene Flahrity and Kevin Scott Flahrity (Sherry); three grandchildren, Richard Flahrity, Leah Hayes Ned Webb; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 9 a.m. Saturday at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services, officiated by Pastor Michael Hancock, following at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Marsh Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
