Brenda Booker Saunders, 75, formerly of Roe, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 24, 2024, at Amberwood Health and Rehabilitation in Benton.
Brenda was born July 6, 1948, to Hilton Leroy and Mable Maxine Pilkington Booker in Clarendon. She was a 1966 graduate of Clarendon High School and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Benton where she faithfully served the Lord. Following the death of her husband in 2019 she relocated to Benton to live with her son Brent and his family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Marvin Saunders; daughter, Jill Saunders; son, Dewayne “Bubba” Saunders; an infant brother, Keller Booker; and father-in-law, Earl Saunders.
Survivors are son, Brent Saunders and wife Amy of Benton; daughter-in-law, Janet Saunders of Roe; son, Greg Saunders and wife Theda of Vilonia; mother-in-law, Geraldine Saunders of Roe; five grandchildren, Amanda Saunders, Jack Saunders, Sophie Saunders, Dillan Saunders and Ashley Lause; two great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Randy Ward and Bro. Todd Smith, are 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 1002 S. Prairie St., Stuttgart. Burial will follow in Roe Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests memorials to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, PO Box 2222, Little Rock, Ark. 72203-9984.
