Charles Johnson

Omas Charles Johnson, 84, of Humphrey passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 11, 1938, in Stuttgart to Ollie D. and Edith Mae Johnson. He was a graduate of Humphrey High School and was a cattleman farmer. He enjoyed squirrel and duck hunting, watching Nascar and tending to his cattle. But his favorite activity was visiting and drinking coffee with his friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne; son, Scott Johnson; daughter, Valorie Johnson; brother, Jimmy Dale Johnson; and sisters, Patsy Esquivel and Patricia Quickel.

Survivors are his son, Shane Johnson of Marietta, GA; daughter-in-law, Angelia Johnson of Humphrey; brother, Donald Johnson of Stuttgart; two granddaughters, Caitlin (Brent) Beliew of Humphrey and Megan (Derrik) Benton of Dardanelle; and six great-grandchildren, Atley Reed, Paxton, Caison and Victoria Benton, and Poppy and Madeleine Beliew.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
