Sgt. Donald Mark Scoby, 45, of Stuttgart died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, in the line of duty.
Scoby was born Feb. 3, 1977, in Bethesda, MD. He served the Stuttgart Police Department for four years and before that was employed with the Stuttgart Fire Department. He also worked for several years in the Stuttgart Daily Leader pressroom and at area part stores. He was an Army veteran of Iraq War and also served a peace keeping mission in Bosnia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Joe Scoby; a son, William Blake Scoby; brother, Walter Scoby; mother-in-law, Kathy Harp; and many other loved ones.
Survivors are his wife, Amanda Scoby; their children, Dylan Andrew Scoby, Rebecca Sue Hall, her husband Wesley and grandson Brentley Dobson, Sarah Nicole Scoby (Brandon Elliott) and Hailey Brooke Scoby, all of Stuttgart; mother, Paulette Richenback and her husband Jimmy of Stuttgart; brothers, Donald Warren Scoby of Mississippi, Brian Robey of Lonoke and Gauge Robey of Stuttgart; father- and mother-in-law, John and Deena Peters of Stuttgart; and honorary daughters, Laiken Kizzire, Skilar Hughes and Haley Johnson.
