Gail Lynn Curton, 76, of Humphrey, Arkansas won her eight-year battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023.
Gail was born Sept. 10, 1947, in Stuttgart, Arkansas to Arlo and Mildred Robnett. Following graduation from Stuttgart High School, she attended cosmetology school where she was a beautician for over 50 years, which she considered her ministry. She regularly picked her elderly clients up and brought them to the beauty shop for their weekly hair appointments. Gail was also active in her community, serving for years with the Jayceettes. She also served on the school board for Humphrey Schools, and worked the scoreboard at basketball games while watching her girls play. After retiring, she and Donnie along with sister, Sherry, opened Our Place Restaurant where she enjoyed cooking and serving others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arlo and Mildred Robnett; and her brother, Joe Robnett.
Survivors are her husband of 55 years and the love of her life, Donnie Curton; five daughters, Kalynn (Pat) Hill of Sherwood, Donna Burlison of Humphrey, Vonda Jo Curton of North Little Rock, Mary Curton of Stuttgart and Amy (Terry) Hopson of Pine Bluff; six grandchildren, Halley, Ty, Gabrielle, Dylan, Brayden and Kallie; her mother-in-law, Edith Curton of Humphrey; two sisters, Carolyn Browning of Maumelle and Sherry Pfleger of Cabot; and countless nieces and nephews. Gail loved all her family unconditionally and never ended a phone call without telling them that she loved them bunches and bunches.
Visitation is 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Humphrey Baptist Church with the funeral services following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Flynn Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart. Services will be officiated by Bro. Bobby McPherson.
