Helen Horton, 78, of Greenbrier, Ark., formerly of Stuttgart, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her home.
Mrs. Horton, lovingly known by her grandchildren as Memaw, was born July 1, 1945, in DeValls Bluff to Amos and Lora Bunker Taylor. She was employed at Lennox Industries for 35 years and was a Christian. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved gardening and anything outdoors, especially camping and hiking, and was an excellent cook. She was an avid reader and loved all animals.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Darrell E. Horton Sr.; and a brother, Harley Taylor.
Survivors are two sons and their wives, Darrell and Pam Horton of Conway and Randy and Amanda Horton of Greenbrier; one brother, Cecil Taylor (Stephanie) of Lonoke; one sister, Geneva Mulherin (John) of DeValls Bluff; and four grandchildren, Jake Horton, Zach Horton, Emla Holsted and John Holsted.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery in DeValls Bluff by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
