Jackson Marshall, 75, of Humphrey passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock.
Mr. Marshall was born May 25, 1948, in Humphrey to Deirl and Myrinia Lockhart Marshall. He was a 1966 graduate of Humphrey High School and member of Bayou Meto Assembly of God Church where he also served as a Deacon. Jackie farmed with his dad for years and retired from John Deere after more than 20 years of employment. He served on the board of Grand Prairie Regional Water Distribution District and was a Navy veteran. He also preached for more than 10 years at Garrett Bridge Assembly of God Church in Dumas and Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Stuttgart. He loved riding horses.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Lee.
Survivors are his wife of 52 years, Norma Marshall; two daughters, Melissa Slater and husband Ed of Benton and Wendy Evans of Humphrey; grandchildren, Matthew (Emily), Madison (Cullen), Nathan (Megan) and Heather; brother, Dierl “Eddie” Marshall and wife Linda of Spicewood, Texas; and sister, Jennifer Shipley of Sherwood.
Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Don Borland, at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Bayou Meto Assembly of God Church with burial to follow in Williams Cemetery with military honors.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to Bayou Meto Assembly of God Church.
