James Patrick Mayfield

James Patrick Mayfield, 79, of Stuttgart passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, in Little Rock.

Pat was born Feb. 7, 1944, in Brown Grove, Ark., to James Hardy and Nellie Crowder Mayfield. He was a graduate of Stuttgart High School and a retired seed dealer. He was also a Methodist.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Montanas.

Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Wanda Mayfield; their two sons, Jay Mayfield and wife Tetyana of Baton Rouge, La., and Dr. Brad Mayfield and partner LaJuan Scales of Lake Village; two sisters, Barbara Ritter of Clarendon and Billie Cupples of Oak Grove, La.; and one granddaughter, Mary-Margaret Mayfield.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Ray Vester, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Turpin Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
