John Thomas Hudson, 91, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2025, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart.
Mr. Hudson was born Nov. 27, 1933, in Cherry Valley, Ark., to Alton D. and Offie D. Holley Hudson. He was a retired supervisor at Potlatch Lumber. He was an avid reader and enjoyed woodworking and travel, and was a member of New Antioch Baptist Church in Brookland, Ark.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of almost 50 years, Winona Blalack Hudson; his second wife of 21 years, Vonda Cobb Hudson; brothers, Wilbur Hudson and Earl Hudson; and sister, Linda Hudson Orman.
Survivors are two sons, Nathan J. Hudson (Brenda) of El Reno, Okla., and James Pagan Jr. of Trumann, Ark.; two daughters, Johnita M. Brewer (Milton) of Stuttgart and Sherry Moody (Joe) of Trumann; brothers, Bob Hudson of Picayune, Miss., Fred Hudson (Cheryl) of San Antonio, Texas, and Julius “J.E.” Hudson (Regina) of Brimley, Mich., ; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Turpin Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery.
