Johnny West, 67, of Casscoe, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at his home.
Johnny was born Aug. 5, 1956, in Warren to Russell and Edna Redditt West. He was a 1975 graduate of Stuttgart High School and was retired from Lennox Industries after 25 years as a supervisor. In addition he was a diesel mechanic for over 30 years. Johnny was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church where he had previously served as Sunday school superintendent and song leader. An avid sports fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks, he loved hunting, riding around with his dogs Penny and Hoss and his grandbabies, and enjoyed making people laugh.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Steve West, Harry Shelton and Billy Shelton; and sisters, Betty Pearman, Phyllis Vansandt and Treva Bailey.
Survivors are his wife of 49 years, Darlene West; son, Jonathan West (Angie) of Casscoe; daughters, Leslie Bouscher (Jeff) of Casscoe and Lisa West-Testo (Anthony) of Monroe, CT; brother, Mike West of Texarkana; sisters, Gail Horned of Conway and Kathy Griffith of Stuttgart; five grandchildren, Logan Bouscher (Lauren), Megan Bousher, Layton Webb, Emma West and Bryer West; and two great-grandchildren, Mack and Harris .
Visitation will be 2 p.m. Sunday at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church with funeral services, officiated by Bro. Todd West, following at 3 p.m.
