Lorean Alice Baugh Cross

Lorean Alice Baugh Cross, 99, of Stuttgart passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at Greystone Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Cross was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Des Arc to George and Della Weatherley. She was a homemaker and charter member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Waymon Baugh Sr.; her second husband, William Cross; her daughter, Della Darlene Matheny; her son, Arthur Waymon Baugh; brothers, Homer Weatherley, Calvin Weatherley and Herbert Weatherley; sisters, Moden McFarland, Kathryn Willilams and Esther Weatherley; several half-brothers; and a half-sister.

Survivors are her son, Waymon Baugh Jr.; grandchildren, Terri Cole (Cliff) of Cabot, Jodie Mitchell (Robert) of Stuttgart and Gary Matheny of Ward; great-grandchildren, Jon David Cave (Taylor), Shaylee Rowland, Lane Rowland, Coin Matheny, Garrett Mitchell; and great-great-grandchildren, Maggie Cave, Penelope Cave, Lanelee Baldwin, Aubree Cole and Phoebe Cole.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Larry Forte, are 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church with burial following in Lakeside Cemetery in Des Arc.

Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart.
