Lura “Tiny” Lillian Williams (Fisher) Wright of Stuttgart was born in Knobel, Arkansas on May 27, 1933, to Grace Ellen Hart Williams and Robert Lee Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Wright; brother, Bud Williams; sisters, Jo Jones, Kathleen Williams and Helen Foley.
Tiny was married to William Ray Fisher in 1950. They were married for 37 years while raising five loving children. Listed according to age her children are Gary Ray Fisher (Vicki), Michael Wayne Fisher, Clayton Allen Fisher (Donna), Penni Leann Fisher Rowland (Tracy) and Gayla Jo Fisher Tarkington (Sam). They were members of the Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Tiny and Billy Leo Wright were married in 1993. They remained happily married until the time of Leo’s death in 2018. With Leo, she welcomed four stepchildren, David Wright (Sue), Roger Wright (Kim), Carolyn Harsh (Dan) and Joyce Curtis (Bob). She also considered Leo’s grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren her very own.
For 36 years, Tiny devoted her time to the care of multiple generations of children in Stuttgart, Arkansas. It saddened her when she was no longer able to do so. She genuinely loved all the children she cared for, and they loved her as well. In addition to the many children she cared for, Tiny was always mindful of friends and family’s needs for support.
Tiny Wright’s joy was wrapped up in all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She claimed to have “the best kids ever.”
Tiny’s first son, Gary, gave her two granddaughters, Charissa Cruz and Ragen Fisher Goetz (Gareth). Her second son Michael (Mike) gave Tiny one grandson, Brian Fisher (Tika). Her third son Clayton gave her two grandchildren, Drew Fisher (Lori) and Megan Fisher Hokett (Jeff). Tiny’s first daughter, Penni, gave her two grandsons, Chad Rowland (Melissa) and Kyle Rowland (Amanda). Her youngest daughter, Gayla, gave her two grandchildren, Spencer Tarkington (Allison) and Darby Tarkington McCullars (Layton).
Tiny had 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, Ian Slover and great-great-grandchild Miracle (deceased in 2023), Micah Slover, Jaden Goetz and Camden Goetz; Tayler Nickell and great-great-grandchild Lillian, Brock Koonce, Landon Koonce, and Braydon Fisher, Merritt Hokett and Beckett Hokett, Jaycie Rowland and Carter Rowland, Stone Tarkington and Causey Tarkington and Rowan McCullars and Halston McCullars.
Tiny also had many nieces and nephews who loved and supported her throughout her illness and up until the time she passed. She loved them all dearly and we appreciate every moment they shared with her.
Tiny was truly a woman with a big heart and an abundance of love to give. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Chris Morgan for his care and compassion given to our mother and the entire family.
