The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came for his child, Margie Etta Robnett, nee Dike, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023. She was met by her husband of 63 years, Nolan “Sonny” Robnett; son, Dale Keith Robnett; son-in-law, Roger Breedlove; stepmother, Thelma Dike; sisters, Martha Dike and Gwendolyn Dike; and brothers, Arnold Dike, Omar Dike and Russell Paul Dike who had gone before her.
She was born Oct. 19, 1930, in DeWitt to Warren Wallace Dike and Gladys Brown Dike who also preceded her in death. A graduate of Gillett High School in 1947, Margie spent her youth in Tichnor and was a cheerleader, the first Miss Gillett and was a crack shot with a rifle. Following graduation, she was employed by General Telephone as a telephone operator in Pine Bluff and Stuttgart. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church but recently had been attending Hunter’s Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors are their children, Gary Robnett and wife Celeste and Gayle Breedlove, all of Casscoe; three grandsons, Scott Robnett of Conway, Syd Robnett of Stuttgart and Kasey Robnett of DeValls Bluff; one granddaughter, Brittney Robnett of Georgie; eight great-grandchildren; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with funeral services following at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lone Tree Cemetery.
