Marilyn Reitz Eifling, born January 17, 1932, in Ulm, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was the daughter of Elmer and Marie Reitz, both of whom preceded her in death.
Marilyn was born and raised in Ulm, Arkansas. After marrying Paul Eifling on April 14, 1951, they moved to Wabbaseka, where they made a home and raised their family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Jeanette Holden of Pine Bluff, Donna Hillis of Ashdown, and Paula Overton (Chuck) of England. Marilyn was a proud and loving Nana to her four grandchildren: Matt Hillis (Ellen), Jordan Hillis (Ginger), Amber Jones (Steven), and Allison Stripling (Brandon). She was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren: Jacob and Ethan Jones; Hudson, Morgan, Holden, Mary Hannah, Haven, and Maddie Hillis; and Alex and Lane Stripling, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Marilyn was known for her kind heart and the special traditions she created for her family. She was famous for her beloved “Nana burgers,” her ever-stocked snack drawer, a cabinet filled with SpaghettiO’s, and her dedication to keeping ice cream in each grandchild’s favorite flavor. Her home was a place of comfort and love, where everyone felt welcome.
A devoted Arkansas Razorback fan, Marilyn never missed an opportunity to cheer on her Hogs. She also had an incredible memory and never forgot a birthday, making everyone feel special with her heartfelt wishes.
She was a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Stuttgart, where her strong faith guided her throughout her life.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Bob Reitz, Joann Longnecker, and Ed Reitz, as well as her son-in-law, Scott Holden.
Graveside services will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Stuttgart.

Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of her love, laughter, and unwavering kindness. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
