Mickey Paul Stroud went to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the age of 90. Mickey was born on March 19, 1934 in Dallas, Texas. He moved to Humphrey, Arkansas in March 1991 after retiring from The Houston Post newspaper where he spent 25 years in advertising sales. He lived in Corpus Christi, Texas during his formative years where he graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1953.

Mickey was an active member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church of Alcorn. He served in the US Army as a Supply Sargent for the 607 AAA Missile Battalion in Gaithersburg, Maryland. They were guarding President Eisenhower and the White House Against Nuclear Attack.

Mickey was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Opal Massingill and stepfather, George Robert (Bob) Massingill, Jr., aunt, Aline Young, cousin, Robert Paul Young, cousin, Martha Price and cousin, Mike Price.

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Massey, and son-in-law David, of Dallas, Texas; cousin, Larry Price (wife Debbie and daughter Amanda), of Dayton, Ohio; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins by marriage he was close to throughout his lifetime.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, at 11:00 a.m. at Lone Tree Cemetery chapel by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
