STUTTGART - Norma Lucile Knoll Oliver, a remarkable woman of 99 years, departed this world on April 29, 2024, leaving a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts. She has ascended to heaven, finally receiving her angel wings after a lifetime of selfless love and devotion to her family and faith. Her unwavering dedication to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren is a testament to the strength of her spirit and the depth of her love. She was a true matriarch, a pillar of strength that we all leaned on in times of need.
Her presence in our lives was a blessing, a gift we will forever cherish. Norma's wisdom and patience were unparalleled, her gentle spirit touching the lives of all who knew her. Despite her petite frame, she stood tall as a symbol of love, grace, and faith.
Though we mourn her passing, we take solace in knowing that Norma is now reunited with her loved ones who went before her. She is at peace, surrounded by the light of heaven, watching over us with love and grace.
Norma was actively involved in various organizations such as the First Christian Church of Stuttgart, the Grand Prairie Historical Society, the Stuttgart Library, the Stuttgart Hospital Auxiliary, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the National Cambridge Collectors Inc. She also took great joy in tracing her family's genealogy.
Norma was preceded in her death by her parents William Everett Knoll and Cynthia Fay Vos Knoll, brother James Phillip Knoll, sister Winona Eileen Knoll Ratcliff, husband Donald William Oliver, and son Tommy Ray Oliver, and daughter-in-law Betty Payer Oliver.
She is survived by her son Gary William Oliver; daughter-in-law, Kim Oliver; grandchildren Natalie Oliver Woods (Lee), Gretchen Oliver, Lane Oliver (Erin), Loren Oliver (Michelle); great-grandchildren Hannah Oliver McMurray (Nathan), Luke Oliver, Leah Kate Oliver, William Oliver, and Mary Oliver Woods.
There will be a visitation Friday, May 3, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Turpin Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, there will be a private graveside burial for the family.
