Richard A. Dickson, 85, of Stuttgart passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at Heritage Living Center in Conway.
Dickie was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Stuttgart to Thomas Henry and Edith Lynn Wessels Dickson. He was a Stuttgart High School graduate and longtime farmer. During duck season, he would be found behind the duck-call counter at Mack’s Prairie Wings. He was an Army National Guard veteran and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Oliver Dickson; and daughter-in-law, Natalie Newkirk Dickson.
Survivors are two sons, Allen Dickson (Jane) and Lynn Dickson (Cheryl James), all of Stuttgart; two brothers, Darrell Dickson (Sharon) and David Dickson (Jean Ann), all of Hot Springs; four grandsons, Bailey Dickson (Jessica), Caleb Dickson (Heather), Spencer Dickson (Hailey) and Skylar Dickson; and four great-grandsons, John Barrett, Brandt, Sage and Blayne.
Visitation is 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with funeral services, officiated by Pastor Don White, following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
The family requests memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
