Robbie Garfield Dabbs, 80, of Cabot, formerly of Humphrey, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Dabbs was born Sept. 6, 1943, in Humphrey to Adam and Lila Dabbs. He was a graduate of Humphrey High School and was a life-long farmer that never felt he worked a day in his life. He enjoyed all kinds of hunting. Upon retirement, his favorite hobby became golf where he made many new friends at Rolling Hills Country Club in Cabot. But his greatest joy in life was being a daddy and a papaw. He was a loyal and faithful servant of God all his 80 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Sadie Vanlandingham, Albert Dabbs and Maudie Callans.
Survivors are his loving wife of 60 years, Polly Dabbs; two daughters, Sherri McGhee and husband Todd of Cabot and Amy Sharp and husband Jamey of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren, Heath (Lauren) McGhee, Hannah McGhee, Jay Sharp and Alli Sharp; and one great-granddaughter, Tayah Klaire McGhee.
Funeral services, officiated by Bruce Dabbs, are 2 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Turpin Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery.
