Rome Bradley “Brad” Carter, Jr. was born to R.B. “Bud” and the late Bernice Carter, in Hazen, Arkansas on April 16, 1952. He spent his childhood in Humnoke, Arkansas creating memories on the farm and loving all things outdoors. He graduated from Humnoke High School. Brad was a farmer by trade, outdoorsman by heart, and worked in the auto body industry for several decades. Brad served in the Army National Guard. Brad mastered many skills in construction and craftsmanship building and remodeling family homes. He was a talented musician from a young age writing many songs. Many years later, Brad attended Phillips Community College and began a carrier career.
Brad was blessed with a large family. He married the love of his life, LaSha Lee Carter of Stuttgart, Arkansas, on August 17, 1986. Together, they proudly celebrate thirty-eight years of marriage. Brad always exposed his giving and tender heart and helped others when an opportunity arose. For the last twelve years Brad has gained the title of “Poppa” to his three grandchildren, a title he was very proud of.
Brad has left this world for his peaceful heavenly home and he leaves behind his wife LaSha Lee Carter, his daughter Anna Lee Powell (Colby Powell) and grandson Patton Rome Powell along with daughter Adelyn Carter and grandchildren Lela Ann Carter and Lincoln Cole Watts, his father R.B. “Bud” Carter, his sister Barbara Terry (Pip Terry) and many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Humnoke, Arkansas on Saturday, February 22, at 1 p.m. with his services to follow at 2 p.m.
