Sara Lee Holbert Smith

Sara Lee Holbert Smith, 80, formerly of Stuttgart, passed away Saturday, Nov 9, 2024, in her home in Quitman, Ark. She was born on Aug. 8, 1944, in Stuttgart to Walter and Dorthy Allen Holbert of Stuttgart. She was one of 11 children.

Soon after her 1962 graduation from Stuttgart High School, she married Ronald Smith and they had two children, Mark Allen and Stephanie. She raised her family and loved her community for many years. She was known for her homemade bread and wonderful, loving smile. She was a faithful member of Country Chapel in Ward, Ark.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ronald S. Smith; brothers, Walter Allen and Ricky Holbert; and sisters, Linda Broussard and Harrietta Marttentte.

Survivors are daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Nobles of Quitman; son, Mark (Myra) Smith of Cabot; brother, Albred Holbert of Texarkana; sisters, Betty Shook of Falshear, Texas, Dottie Holbert and Fara Jenkins of Biloxi, Miss., Patsy Harris of Gladstone, Mo., and Janice Dortch of North Liberty, Iowa; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
